Lomza brewery was founded in 1968. This was the first brewery built in post-war Poland. An important factor in choosing a site for the construction of the plant near the town of Lomza was the presence of groundwater quality and excellent taste. In 2000 the plant has officially become an independent structure and has been completely redesigned: built new brewhouse, fermentation tanks are equipped with modern lines for canning and beer pasteurizer for filling lines. At the plant were introduced European standards of safety and health in 2007, the factory was bought by the Danish brewing corporation Royal Unibrew, under whose leadership the brewery Lomza increased production capacity and become a dynamic regional production. In 2011, the brewery Lomza moved into the Polish company Van Pur.
Since its founding Lomza brewery specializes in producing bottom-fermenting lager. Initially, the production capacity is about 250,000 hectoliters of beer a year, today the plant produces annually about 900,000 hectoliters of beer. Leading brand beer brewery is “Lomza”.
